Delete Your Account & Data – NeighbourGuard
Delete your NeighbourGuard account and associated data
NeighbourGuard customers can request deletion of their NeighbourGuard Customer App account and eligible personal data at any time. You do not need access to the app to make a request.
How to request deletion
- Email support@neighbourguard.ca with the subject line Account Deletion Request.
- Send the request from the email address associated with your NeighbourGuard account, if possible. State that you want your NeighbourGuard Customer App account and associated personal data deleted.
- Our support team may ask you to verify that you own the account before processing the request. Do not email your password or payment card details.
- We will review your request and confirm the outcome by email, including any information that must be retained and why.

Information deleted or anonymized
After verification and subject to legal or contractual retention requirements, we will delete or anonymize eligible account information, which may include your app login and profile, contact information, saved property details, in-app notifications, and patrol reports or confirmation photographs associated with your account where retention is no longer necessary.
Information we may need to keep
Some information may be retained when required to comply with the law, administer an existing service agreement, maintain accounting or tax records, resolve payment disputes, respond to security incidents, or establish, exercise or defend legal claims. This can include invoices, payment and subscription transaction history, limited service or patrol records relevant to an incident or dispute, and records of your deletion request. Canadian tax and accounting records may need to be kept for six years or longer where applicable. Other records are kept only for the period necessary for the relevant obligation or claim and then deleted or anonymized when no longer required. Backup copies may remain temporarily until they expire through normal backup retention processes.
Processing time
We aim to review and complete eligible account deletion requests within 30 days after verifying account ownership. If a legal obligation, ongoing dispute, or other valid reason prevents deletion of particular records, we will explain this in our response.
Account deletion and subscription cancellation
Deleting your app account does not automatically cancel your paid NeighbourGuard security patrol subscription or stop recurring billing. If you also want to cancel your service, state this in your email so our team can address the cancellation separately under your service agreement and applicable law. You may request account deletion even if you do not have an active subscription.
